The inspirations for our Scents.
Woody is the horse that started it all -- I became the President of Woody's fan club way back in 2002, and sent his groom Max Corcoran, a container of the homemade soap in a care package at Rolex in 2004. Max has said Woody is her very favorite horse, and describes him as wise, brave, sensitive, sweet, wonderful and tough, with an amazing heart. Woody completed Rolex 6 consecutive years, and never finished out of the top 15. He is one of my favorite horses of all time and is the perfect representative of Confidence.

Ben, or Longneck Bottle, was my first event horse. He had loads of talent, and taught me so much, both in the saddle, and in broadening my veterinary knowledge and skills! He could have gone so far and done so much with a more experienced and talented rider, but I will remain forever grateful that he came into my life. Ben is now retired here on the farm with me, and is the original Love of My Life (shhhh, don't tell my husband!! <g>)

Four O'Clock Fox, or Fox as he was known around the barn, was a phenomenal event horse that belonged to my friend and trainer. Fox was an Appendix Quarter Horse who had decided racing was not for him, and that eventing was more to his taste. He demonstrated talent in going forward despite any obstacle blocking his way early in his career, as I was cleaning his stall, and he wanted to be outside instead of inside. So, he stepped up into the wheelbarrow in the aisle, crushed it flat, and wandered outside to eat grass! My friend lost him way too young, and he is greatly missed, all these years later!

Buzz, or Repeat Offender, was one of those horses of a lifetime for me. He arrived at the sales barn where I boarded, a short five year old stallion, with a huge old bow, and a ton of attitude. Can you say bad decision? But, he was destined to come into my life, teaching me so much in the process. I lost him much too soon, and miss him each and every day. He was the epitome of the "little horse who could," competing in USEA events with a pro, and schooling at home, and even completing several endurance rides with me. There are not enough words to express how special he was, and how much I miss him. This scent is named after his boundless bounce and energy.
